Launcher Installer Stuck

I downloaded MC from the official website. When I attempt to launch Launcher Installer, it opens with the message "Making things awesome" and the progress bar doesn't move. I've tried closing it and opening it. I also tried closing it and opening it. Mpservers I'm trying to download Java edition, if that helps.

Many players have not been able to solve issues with the new launcher which was released Nov 2.

Assuming that you have the game and not just on GamePass For now, just download and install the Windows 7/8 launcher. This is the launcher that we've all been using for years. (Link)

To stop the upgrade nag, click the old launcher shortcut to change compatibility to Windows 8 under the Compatibility tab.

You are a lifesaver! I downloaded it but it didn't install. The same issue as the guy who posted this. It worked!

PS Please scroll down the page to find an application launcher for Windows 7/8. Click it to download it. I'm dumb, I continued to download windows 10/11 repeatedly and again.
