The image you see above is not from Cities: Skylines. This is actually an image of a Minecraft project that's been under construction for three years in an attempt to create a fictional North American metropolis at an amazing level of detail. Download the map to take a virtual tour.

"Maybe it's difficult to believe, but I built it by myself and it took me about three years," creator the_balazs says on Reddit. It was built using the WorldEdit mod however that's not the only additional tool available - everything was created by hand. With the help of Chunky, the screenshots were built using beautiful lighting.

You can download the map on Planet Minecraft. Called Tranton, it's a fictionalised city based loosely on New York and Chicago. Everything is scaled and even has interior floors. It's an impressive piece of art all around.
